Brooklyn Wedding Catering

Pizza Moto was born in Red Hook. We're now woman-owned, Hudson Valley-based, and back in Brooklyn most weekends — lovingly toting our hand-built, wood-fired oven to weddings, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and the kind of (pizza) party your guests will be talking about a year later. Like a pizza truck — only better.

How a Brooklyn caterer ended up in the Hudson Valley

We started in Red Hook with a hand-built, wood-fired oven and the upfront-ladies idea that pizza could carry a real wedding — not just a backyard. Years (and a lot of pizzas) later, we moved the base of operations up to Chester, NY to be closer to the venues and farms that hire us most often. But we never stopped coming back. Brooklyn is home. The oven still rolls out of here most weekends, April through November, headed to a wedding in Red Hook, Greenpoint, Williamsburg, or wherever you're getting married.

Where we cook in Brooklyn

We cover the borough — these are the neighborhoods we end up in most for weddings:

  • Red Hook — our hometown, where Pizza Moto started. Warehouses, waterfront venues, the works.
  • Greenpoint & Williamsburg — lofts, rooftops, the industrial-chic wedding scene.
  • DUMBO & the Navy Yard — Brooklyn Bridge views, big open warehouse spaces.
  • Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Park Slope — garden venues, brownstone backyards, the Botanic Garden.
  • Industry City & Sunset Park — converted-industrial venues with the space to set up properly.

If your venue's not on this list, ask. We're in Brooklyn most weekends already.

What a Brooklyn wedding with us looks like

We arrive a few hours before service. The mobile oven gets fired with real hardwood — no gas, no shortcuts — and by the time the ceremony is winding down, it's at 900°F and ready. Each Neapolitan-style pizza cooks in about 90 seconds. We can put out 50 pizzas an hour from a single oven, more with two. High/low, chameleons of the catering world — we look right at home next to a backyard ceremony in Red Hook and just as right next to a black-tie reception at a Greenpoint loft.

What it costs

Our wedding catering starts at $22/guest with a $5,000 minimum investment. That covers the oven, the team, the wood we burn through, and a service style built for a thoughtful celebration — not a buffet line. Final number depends on guest count, menu, and venue.
